About me

Hello!

I’m a junior majoring in Journalism and Media Production at SUNY Brockport, with a strong passion for storytelling. I primarily focus on video production, creating projects that range from historical tours of New York to educational videos about the Salem Witch Trials. Engineering, history, and science fascinate me, and I strive to incorporate these fields into my work. Last summer, I was fortunate to work with the Pomeroy Foundation to create a short documentary about the Erie Canal, which allowed me to further expand on these interests.

To produce these videos, I have developed proficiency in several programs, including DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, and Audacity. I also have extensive experience working with a wide range of equipment, such as lighting setups; handheld and lavalier microphones; tripods; dollies; jib arms; drones; and an array of cameras and lenses from both Canon and Sony.

In addition to video, I have experience in audio production. In 2024, I had the opportunity to design sound and lighting for The Institute of Aquinas in Rochester. That fall semester, we produced The Diary of Anne Frank, which gave me valuable experience working with directors and a crew in a professional setting.

By far, my greatest passion is educational content. I can find an interesting angle in just about any topic, and I am eager to explore new subjects and share what I learn with others. For eight summers, I taught scouts at Massawepie Scout Camp, a residential Boy Scout camp in New York. This experience not only sparked my interest in education but also gave me valuable insight into how to effectively present ideas and communicate them clearly.
